Bio
Hi! My name is Emily Chagnon. Most of our dancers have probably seen me floating around the hall in the years since I’ve graduated in 2022 helping out with costumes and props. I’ve been dancing in our show for 12 years, my family has been involved for the last 14 years, and I have been lucky enough to be a part of our Fuller House Show that we put on for a local retirement home around thanksgiving weekend. I’m so honored to now be the assistant director of our gorgeous show. It’s safe to say that this music is the soundtrack of my life, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I have been a dancer for as long as I can remember, and will be until my body tells me not to anymore. For now though, I am a Dance Minor at Bridgewater State University, along with my major in Communications with a specialty in Film/ Video Production, and my other minor in Childhood Studies. I hope to become a wedding videographer and editor, and the all time dream is to open my own studio to continue teaching new dancers the same sport and art form that I’ve grown up adoring.

At my home studio, I was trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical and contemporary. Additionally, I have been an assistant teacher for students ranging from ages 2.5 to 17 in all of these same styles. Between my own classes and teaching my kiddos, I just about lived at my studio. This is where I really started to understand my love for dance on every level. I was the little bunhead who was too shy to talk most of the time, but could never take her eyes off the “big girls” as they rehearsed. I hope to set the same example I grew up with as I am now one of those “big girls.”
