Maya danced with MYB throughout high school, in roles such as Arabian and Drosselmeyer. She went on to attend Vassar College where she joined the Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre and continued her training in modern dance. After graduating, Maya continued to dance with Urbanity dance in Boston, MA in their Underground company. She moved to New York City in 2022 to pursue her masters of public health and danced with Danceworks NYC while in the city. Now, she’s back in the Boston area working to address food and housing insecurity, while dancing with Fusion Dance Collective. She’d like to thank MYB for the amazing friends and professional dance experience it provided her with!
